Hurricane Helene made landfall over Florida's Big Bend as a Category 4 storm on September 26, and its impact has been huge so far. More than two million people are still without power, there are numerous road closures due to flooding, airports have been closed, and nearly 1,300 flights are scheduled to be canceled. Authorities are on alert as Hurricane Helene could "destroy houses, move cars, [...] and could cut off escape routes," according to National Hurricane Center's (NHC) director Michael Brennan.
